On Stage
Everyone seems to feel self-conscious at times, but drama allows us to express ourselves freely through another character. This fun “do-it” book will not only teach children to be theater-savvy, but confident before the spotlight as well. Improvise during such games as Freeze, Party Quirks, and Gibberish. Create a character, put on a comedy, make puppets, discover makeup secrets, build a set, and set the stage. Book includes several ready-to-use monologues, scenes, and short plays. This is a hands-on book, divided into short 1- or 2-page activities. Great for homeschool, family fun, church classes, or friends playing together. As I read through the contents, I was reminded of a beginning theater class my children were enrolled in. I think this book covered it all, at a fraction of the price! Paperback, large size, 171 pages, black-and-white drawings, for ages 5 -12 years. |
